Alerts in your pocket

Telegram push means you know before your users do, whether you're at your desk or not.

Private chat or team group

Point alerts at a personal chat or a shared group so the whole team sees the same signal at once.

Verified and free

Multi-region confirmation keeps out false alarms, and Telegram alerts are included on every plan.

How to set up Telegram alerts

What you'll need: The @UptimeEyeBot added to your chat or group · The chat's Chat ID

  1. 1

    Add @UptimeEyeBot to your chat

Open Telegram, add @UptimeEyeBot to a private chat or group, and send /start — the bot replies with the Chat ID.

  2. 2

Paste the Chat ID into UptimeEye

In UptimeEye, open Notifications → New channel → Telegram and paste the Chat ID (keep any leading dash for groups).

  3. 3

Attach it to what you monitor

Add the channel to any monitor, cron job, SSL check, or status page — on every plan, including Free. Send a test alert to confirm it lands where your team actually looks.

What triggers a Telegram alert

Downtime & recovery

When a monitored website, API, or server goes down — confirmed from multiple regions — and again the moment it recovers.

SSL certificate expiry

Early warnings before a TLS certificate expires, so you renew before it takes the site offline.

Cron & scheduled-task failures

Dead Man's Switch alerts when a scheduled job fails or misses its window, so silent background jobs never rot unnoticed.

Ways teams use it

  • Get paged on your phone the instant a client's site goes down, wherever you are.
  • Share a team group so everyone sees the same outage and recovery messages.
  • Watch a nightly cron job and get a Telegram ping if it fails to check in.
